‘STAND UP FOR INCLUSION’ FEATURING SUMI JO WITH SPECIAL ARTS FESTIVAL KOREA
Special Arts Festival Korea with Guest Artist Sumi Jo
Celebrating the “Special Olympics World Games Abu Dhabi” being held in the UAE’s capital, Abu Dhabi Festival is collaborating with Special Olympics Korea to put on a special, 90-minute concert entitled Stand Up For Inclusion. Fully in line with the Festival’s theme for 2019 – The Culture of Determination – it will deliver a message of hope to everyone and help people see what is normally unseen.
Featuring works by Schubert, Mozart, Haydn and others, as well as contemporary artists such as Stevie Wonder and Ennio Morricone, the music will be performed by a specially selected group of people of determination from Korea. These solo guitarists, pianists, trumpeters and full ensemble bands will be joined on stage by the famed soprano and Grammy Award-winning Sumi Jo, who has been enthralling listeners, audiences and cinemagoers for more than 30 years. This will be a unique and unforgettable experience for the performers and audience alike.
